Yoga Around Philly
Your time is limited (and so are your finances) while you’re traveling but don’t let that be the reason you let your yoga practice drop off while visiting Philly. These free and donation only classes in unique spots around the city will allow you to continue exploring Philly while also keeping fit and saving money. Yoga on the Pier
Race Street Pier, located at the foot of the Ben Franklin Bridge, offers incredible views but while you’re there check out one of the 300 free yoga classes scheduled to take place over the next six months (between April 28th and October 28th), courtesy of the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation and Aetna. Classes take place Monday through Friday at 7:00 am, Monday through Thursday at 6:00 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 am. Additionally, once per month there will be Twilight classes at 8:30 pm celebrating the Full Moon on April 30, May 29, June 28, July 27, August 26, September 25, and October 25.

Philly Yoga Factory
Need a class at another time? While it’s not specifically historical, Philly Yoga Factory (a non profit) is making history by providing a full schedule of donation based yoga classes. You just show up a few minutes before the start time, check in at the counter, and drop your cash donation in the jar. The Philly Yoga Factory classes meet at 1520 Sansom Street (follow signs for the Hot Yoga studio) Check out the schedule here.
